Gladbrook Women’s Club October News

The Gladbrook Womens’ Club met on October 12 at the Otter Creek Nature Center. Park Ranger Dustin Horne gave us a very informative update on the restoration of the lake and park.

Eleven members answered roll call with, “What is your earliest memory?”

The minutes from the September meeting and the current Treasurers’ report was given.

The historian books have been placed at the City Center upstairs. They are in the cabinets with the past Northern Sun Newspapers for anyone to look through.

The price for the Holiday Brunch was set, adults $15, ages 5-10 $10, and under 5 will be free. Other details were discussed. The sign up sheets were passed around to remind everyone of what they signed up for and to also fill in any gaps.

The Gladbrook Christmas Tree lighting will be held on November 29. It was voted to participate in the Festival of Trees that will open that evening. The theme is “Gingerbread Christmas.”

The November meeting will be held at the Gladbrook Methodist Church with Jeff Ulch presenting the program.
