The new garbage man in town

Garwin native launches D’s Garbage Service in Toledo

TOLEDO – A new business is in town, cleaning up the city. Garwin native Daltin Dillingham just started up D’s Garbage Service, which is now operating in Toledo.

Mr. Dillingham’s family has been in the local garbage business for three generations. When he grew up, Daltin started working hand and hand with his grandfather at Stone Sanitation. It was this experience that motivated Daltin to start his own business so that one day, he can pass it on to his children.

A few things make D’s Garbage Service stand out from the rest of the crowd; one is the color pink. D’s has a pink truck, pink dumpsters, and pink trash cans. This color emblazoned on all of D’s equipment, is more than just a theme; it is a statement of support. The pink color is to show Dillingham’s support of breast cancer awareness, something that means a lot to Daltin as his grandmother finished her fight with the Big C just last year.

Something else that sets D’s apart from the other garbage outfits around is their services. D’s offers multiple services other than just the usual trash pick up, including recycling and the specialty return of can service.

“We don’t just leave our customer’s cans at the edge of the curb, where on Windy days they blow out into the middle of the streets like the other companies let them,” Daltin said. “We take the cans back up to the house, but we also know that sometimes people are busy and they forget to put their garbage can out, so we go up we check the cans, if they’re full, we dump them, take them back, in short terms, we are offer back door Service. That being said, we do everything that we can to help the elderly, make their lives easier, and get their garbage from in the garage, beside the garage, by the back door. We are a loyal trustworthy garbage company.”

Daltin got approval from the Toledo City Council last week to start collecting trash in town. Soon, he will get approval and expand into Tama. So, if you see a pink dumpster or a pink garbage truck roaming around town, just know that it is Daltin Dillingham, cleaning up our community.
