The Northwest Tama County Ministerial Association held the 2023 Crop Walk on October 8. Churches participating included: Gladbrook MC, Christ Lutheran Church, Peace Church, Garwin Valley Community Church, Salem of Lincoln and Chapel Church.

Crop Walks are ecumenical, interfaith community events. Funds collected support disaster relief of Church World Service in the United States and around the world. Around $800 was raised.

Millions of people around the world walk untold distances each day to get water, secure food and shelter and to find shelter in times of war and disaster. Peace Church hosted the event and Chapel Church served a delicious lunch following the walk.
