Tama youth to celebrate National 4-H Week Oct. 1-7

TOLEDO, IOWA – The anticipation is building for this year’s National 4-H Week, during which millions of youth, parents, volunteers and alumni across the country will celebrate everything 4-H.

The 2023 National 4-H Week theme is I [heart emoji] 4-H, which celebrates everything we love about 4-H. 4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills offered through a variety of settings including clubs, schools, day camps, overnight camps, libraries and other learning environments. 4-H gives youth the opportunities to experience life skills and to practice them in a safe environment with caring adults.

Who can join?

For 4-12th graders, 4-H is a place where you can make new friends in your community and across the state. This is where goals are set, worked on and evaluated. Want to start earlier? Kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade can participate in Clover Kids, which offers hands-on activities to build life skills and foster new friendships.

Enrollment is happening now in Tama County 4-H. This is completed online at https://4honline.com/. The fee for 4-12th graders is $40, however, during the month of October, there is a discount. Contact the Extension Office to learn more.
