Last week Friday, Sept. 22, both Gladbrook-Reinbeck and GMG school districts capped off their respective homecoming weeks by winning gridiron football games in front of hometown audiences and celebrating recently-crowned homecoming royalty.
G-R crowned Isaac Clark and Dylinn Blohm the district’s 2023-24 Homecoming King and Queen, respectively, during Wednesday evening’s Homecoming Happenings held in the high school gymnasium in Reinbeck.
Also on Wednesday evening, GMG crowned Jabari Woodbury and Reese Dieleman as the district’s 2023-24 Homecoming King and Queen, respectively, during the Homecoming Coronation Ceremony held in the high school gym in Garwin.
Two days later, both teams won their respective Homecoming games with the undefeated Rebels taking down the Janesville Wildcats, 38-3, and the Wolverines (2-3) doing likewise to the Tripoli Panthers, 54-52.
A truly stupendous week to be a member — or alumni! — of either community!
