GLADBROOK – On Friday, September 8, 2023, the Chapel Church Volunteers prepared and served lunch to area senior citizens. Twenty-eight ate at the Memorial Building, and seven meals were delivered to their homes by Jeanne Paustian and Lynn Handorf. The menu consisted of pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, Arkansas green beans, Asian cabbage salad, rolls, bars and drink. Those who prepared and packaged the meals were Marcia Wiese, Ruth Wescott, Carolyn Kloster, Kathryn Burt, Karen Handorf, and Sue Koster. Claire Handorf managed the entertainment by asking 20 trivia questions about the 50-60s. The door prize was won by Karen Ohrt.

The next senior citizen’s meal will be Friday, October 6, served by the Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary ladies. Contact Jeanne Paustian, 641-751-2039, for reservations.
