Pioneer Craft Fair set for this Sunday in Morrison

Live music by Hope Meyer, Zen Walrus and Jens Olsen from 11-2 p.m. and The Vinyl Frontier from 2-4 p.m. There are many activities for children, including, pony rides, a petting zoo, a youth scavenger hunt with free ice cream cone for completing, and a treasure hunt in the hay.

Local vendors, artists and food

Numerous local vendors including quilts, plants, baked goods, artwork, jewelry, honey, rocks/geologist, mums and pumpkins available for purchase. Come hungry and purchase lunch in the Heritage Center. The log cabin will have butter samples and fireplace-cooked stew available at a small cost. Jump on the school bus and ride it to the Blackhawk Creek Area, then hop on the horse-drawn trolley and take a ride in the wilderness to see the Buck skinner’s camp. All events are FREE.

Pioneer Craft Fair drawing

This year’s drawing is a print by Charles Freitag, titled “Morning Chores”. Tickets are available for purchase now at the Grundy County Conservation Board Office at 204 Fourth St. Morrison, or on the day of the Pioneer Craft Fair. The Pioneer Craft Fair is on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 11-4p.m. at the Grundy County Heritage Center Museum and grounds, located in Morrison. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. in front of the brick museum in Morrison.
