TOLEDO – Some new changes were approved to the employee manual at the Tama County Supervisors meeting on Monday, June 26. Also approved were annual end-of-year fund transfers for Tama County Conservation, the Secondary Roads Department, and the Tama County Maintenance Department.

The 2024 Fiscal Year appropriations in the amount of $29 million were approved as well.

The Tama County Engineer reported that the new shop is coming along. The Toledo Deer Creek bridge is starting work on its west side. Due to rain, the blades are out; the durapatcher is out working as well. Interviews for a new motor grader will start late this week or early next week. Also, a contract with interim County Engineer Gary Mauer with Grundy County was approved by the supervisors.
