For several years, the Hardy Reading Council, an affiliate of the Iowa Reading Association, has been recognizing one local public library a year with a monetary donation. Recently Joy Reinert, representing the Hardy Reading Council, presented Bonnie Raum-Murty with a check for $100 for the Gladbrook Public Library to use for their summer reading program. The program will run through the month of June. This year Raum-Murty is the director of the summer reading program.
