Gladbrook Women’s Club holds May meeting

GLADBROOK – Thirteen members met at the Natural Grind in Grundy Center for lunch and installation of officers for 2023-2024. In honor of Mothers’ Day the roll call question was, “What is your fondest memory of your Mother?”

The minutes and Treasurer’s report was given and both approved.

The Corresponding Secretary read two Thank You notes. One from Cedar Valley Hospice for our donation and one from the Harders family for our memorial flowers.

Empty positions for theater concessions and the Festival of Trees committee were mentioned and the sign up sheet passed around.

The float committee is asking for ideas for our Corn Carnival float.

More information about working at the Tama County Fair Food Stand was talked over. The vote was to proceed with plans to work on Wednesday, July 12.

The Holiday Brunch scheduled for November 12 as a fundraiser was discussed. The menu was explained and a sign up sheet was passed around for members to sign up for food and jobs.

Members were reminded of the June 8 outing to Eldora and Ackley. The menu was provided for attendees to choose their lunch item. To sign up or choose your lunch item please let Avriel know by June 5.

The meeting was then adjourned followed by installation of officers.
