Tom Boheman to retire after more than four decades

REINBECK – The Gladbrook-Reinbeck Community School District Board of Education hosted a year-end breakfast on Friday, May 26, at Oakleaf Country Club to honor faculty and staff.

Staff members were recognized for their years of service.

The honorees this year were: Kim Thompson, 30 years; Helen Adair, 25 years; Connie Wood, 25 years; Heather Mara, 15 years; Cara Lott, 10 years; Megan Welter, 10 years; Michelle Sieh, five years; Danelle Johnson, five years; Sydney Kauten, five years; Lacey Degener, five years; and Emily Biederman, five years.

Four staff members were also recognized as retirees including Tom Boheman who is retiring after 41 years as a high school science teacher; Kim Thompson who is retiring after 30 years as a district nurse; Bruce Bailey who is retiring after almost 25 years as a special education teacher; and Julie Cole who is retiring after almost five years as a paraeducator in the elementary school.
