Members of the Gladbrook Legion Auxiliary distributed poppies on Gladbrook Main Street and Caseys on Friday, May 12, while Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary distributed poppies on Wednesday, May 10 (see further reporting this week).

The Auxiliary would like to thank all the businesses for the courtesies extended to the members.

All proceeds from poppy sales go to our veterans and their families.

Seniors helping with the poppy distribution included Chris Hickman, Rose Russell, Lori Sanderson, Candace Bartel, Sue Koster, Jolene Denbow, Jeanne Paustian, and Ann Vibbard.

It was raining when Chris Hickman went up to Casey’s to distribute poppies. We’re very thankful that Casey’s employees let Chris stand inside.
