On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the Tama County Board of Supervisors were asked during their regular meeting why the meetings can’t be livestreamed. Some wonder why a few dollars of Tama County’s money cannot be delegated for a camera and microphone so that the weekly meetings could be broadcast over the internet. Citizens must take off work and drive to Toledo to attend these supervisor’s meetings each week, whereas in other counties you can attend digitally. A citizen commented on how you can see your cows being sold at home via the Tama County Livestock Auction livestream, but you can’t watch the supervisors’ meetings.

The weekly Engineer’s report stated that last week was spent hauling rock to soft areas and blading them as well. More rock will be hauled when winter is finally over.

Possible ordinances and zoning for future solar energy projects were discussed as citizens question the responsibilities of the supervisors.

A motion was also passed for the courthouse lawn to be used for an Easter egg hunt by the Presbyterian Church on April 8.
