A woman has died as a result of the injuries she sustained in a UTV crash northeast of Reinbeck last Saturday evening.

According to a press release from the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a UTV accident near Reinbeck at about 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 4.

Patrick Knaack of Reinbeck was operating a UTV with six people in it when he lost control. The UTV then rolled, ejecting 53 year-old Lori Knaack, who was transported the the Grundy County Memorial Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Two other occupants were treated for non-life threatening injuries at MercyOne in Waterloo. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Reinbeck Ambulance, and the accident remains under investigation.
