The 24th annual Miracle on Main celebration took place in downtown Reinbeck last Friday and Saturday and although it was certainly cold – and snowing! – this traditional kickoff to the holiday season was another great success thanks to a full year of planning by committee members. There was something for everyone to enjoy, even those who tend toward the ‘Grinchy’ side of life. From the holiday lighting contest which crowned Elisabeth & Tyler Bueghly as first place winners to the horse-drawn trolley rides amid the falling snow to the Dig Inn’s 2nd annual Chili Cook-off Contest to the smashingly successful Reinbeck Fire Breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning, genuine enjoyment could be found all over the downtown. The Miracle on Main committee is always looking for new members and volunteers. Those interested in volunteering or helping to plan the 25th Miracle on Main celebration are asked to reach out to a committee member via the event’s Facebook group.
