Wolverines’ Homecoming set for Oct. 10-15

The GMG Wolverines are set to celebrate Homecoming the week of October 10-15 this year. Activities will take place throughout the district in the lead-up to the Friday, Oct. 14 Homecoming game against the Colo-NESCO Royals.

Last week, the 2022 GMG-Garwin Homecoming Court nominees were announced.

Queen candidates this year include Kaylea Duden, Jessica Johnson, Linsey Kohn, Marriah Stonewall, and Alivea Soukhavong.

King candidates this year include Brenden Becker, Brayden Duden, Wyatt Jackson, Patrick Savatdy, and Noah Teske.

Homecoming attendants this year are Grady Dieleman, Rider Kupka, Jocee Mason, Anna Mussig, Jocie Parks, and Anthony Waters.

Coronation will take place on Wednesday, October 12, at 6:00 p.m. ahead of the powderpuff game which is set for 8:00 p.m.

Ahead of Friday’s football game, the GMG Homecoming Parade is scheduled to take place beginning at 2:00 p.m. Following the football game, the Senior Bonfire will be held starting at 9:00 p.m.

All week long, students will celebrate Homecoming festivities with special dress-up days including Monday’s ‘BBQ Dads vs. Soccer Moms,’ Tuesday’s Character Day, Wednesday’s ‘Dress as a teacher/Dress like a student,’ Thursday’s Adam Sandler Day, and Friday’s Spirit Day.

On Saturday, October 15, the week will wrap up with the Homecoming Dance held in the old gym from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
