Plan now for a day of good family fun. Admission and all activities are free of charge. (Food and vendor items will be available for purchase on the grounds.) Many old favorites will be returning to the craft fair such as beekeeping & honey, crocheting, butter churning, and fireplace stew. Returning for their second year is the Waterloo Country Cloggers, and the Show and Shine car show. The kids will have all sorts of fun participating in activities like the treasure hunt in the hay, railroad rides, a scavenger hunt, and face painting. Barn Stahl Petting Zoo from Wellsburg will be here with several animals to pet and feed.

There will be a raffle of the Charles Freitag print, “The Saturday Evening Soak”. Tickets will be available at the event or can be purchased in advance by calling (319)345-2688.  Drawing will be held at 4:00 p.m. the day of the Craft Fair, the winner need not be present to win.

Be sure to visit the Farmer’s Market area, as well as the lunch stand in the Heritage Center where they will offer sandwiches, chips, drinks, and more. Visit the log cabin for the fireplace-cooked stew and have a sample of fresh-churned butter on a cracker.

Out at the wildlife area, north of town, will be the Buckskinner camp. Buses will load in Morrison to take visitors to and from the area and then take a horse-drawn trolley ride out to the buckskinner’s camp. Please note that no drive-in access to the area is permitted.

Exhibits in the Heritage Museum, and the brick museum, as well as the gift shop, will be open throughout the day.
