Tama County Fair set for July 11-17

Each July, over 200 4-H and FFA members enter their exhibits at the Tama County Fair. Ribbons and trophies are earned. Even more important, goals are met, lessons are learned and friendships are made.

The Tama County Livestock and Fair Association invites you to come to the Tama County Fair this July 11-17, 2022. The Tama County Fairgrounds are located in Gladbrook.

FAIR SCHEDULE

Monday, July 11: Non-Livestock judging for 4-H members, FFA students and Clover Kids

Tuesday, July 12: Animals are entered, Conservation Station, Pet Show, Dog Show and Opening Ceremony of the Fair which includes the Selection of the Tama County Fair Queen and Fair Challenge auction for the scholarship

Wednesday, July 13: Farm Credit Breakfast, Sheep Show, Iowa Corn Trailer, Watermelon Feed sponsored by Tama Co. Soil and Water Conservation District, Tama County Naturalist Visit with Critters, Goat Show, Poultry Show, STEM Flex Trailer, and Fashion Show

Thursday, July 14: Dairy Show, Horse Show (Speed Events), Electric Pole Safety Demonstration, Rabbit Show, Communications Event, fun with Tama County Master Gardeners and Livestock Skillathon

Friday, July 15: Swine Show, Horse Show, Kiddie Tractor Pull (4-11 year old sponsored by the Tama County 4-H Council), Pee Wee Wranglers (sponsored by the Tama County Cattlemen), Hypnotist (Sponsored by the Tama Livestock and Fair Association).

Saturday, July 16: Beef Show and Fun Night (Sponsored by the Tama County 4-H Council)

Each day there are kid’s crafts, scavenger hunts and make sure to check out the new Kid’s Area by the Rabbit Barn. There is time to tour the exhibit buildings, livestock barns and make sure to grab a bite to eat which includes delicious pies and snow cones.
