Gladbrook Corn Carnival 2022 Grand Parade winners
There were an amazing number of outstanding entries in the 2022 Gladbrook Corn Carnival Grand Parade.
Winners in the “Local Commercial” include: First place, Gladbrook Insurance, Annie Stocker; Second place, Pie Lady, Laura Bru; Third place, Hometown Family Market.
Peace Church won First place, “Religious.”
First place in “Class Floats” went to the Class of ’62; Second place, Class of ’69; Third place, Class of ’77; Honorable Mention, Class of ’51 as the oldest class.
First place for “Out of Town Commercial” went to Gannaway Construction; Second place, Green Acres Storage; Third place, Mattingly Pumpkins.
First place for “Non-Commercial Organization” went to American Legion & Auxiliary; Second place, Gladbrook Women’s Club; Third place, G-R FFA.
“Horses” was won by TF Clydesdale 8 Horse Hitch.
- Peace United Church of Christ’s first place “Religious” entry of “Sharing God’s Love for 135 Years.”
- Gladbrook’s American Legion & Auxiliary first place entry, “Centuries of Service.”
- Don Hein was honored by the Gladbrook Legion. Hein is a US Army Veteran and served from 1963-65 in Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart.
- The Citizens of Gladbrook: Past and Present were the Grand Marshals of the 2022 Corn Carnival Parade.
- The “Gladbrook Class of ’87 – the Last Panthers.”
- “The Class of 1970 – Forever Panthers.”
- “The Class of 1969 – Never Slowing Down.”
- “The 100th Class of 1985.”
