The Gladbrook Corn Carnival Kiddies Parade will be held on Thursday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m. The six categories this year are: “A Century of Celebrations” (theme of the 100th Corn Carnival); Comics, Cartoons & Movie themes; Patriotic; Bikes & Trikes; Advertising, and Miscellaneous/Pets. Now is the time to start thinking and creating your entries.
Participants should be at the NW corner of the city park by 6:00 p.m. on the night of the parade. Look for the sign post with your category’s name on it. There you will register and fill out a form which includes your name, description of your entry, and parents’ and/or grandparents’ names. Each participant will be announced over the loudspeaker. Each entry will receive a prize.
This parade is always a fun event for children of all ages. So come out and join the fun. For more information contact Terri Luehring, 473-3081, or Jeanne Paustian, 641-750-2039.
