Reinbeck American Legion Auxiliary Unit 242 is pleased to announce they have selected Megan Cooley of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School to represent their unit at the 2022 Girl State Conference held at Drake University in Des Moines. Megan is a junior this year and is involved in Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Speech, Drama, Student Council, Class Officer, Club Volleyball, and Beach Volleyball. Her parents are Paul and Deb Cooley.

Iowa Girl State is one of the premier programs sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary and was started in the hope of teaching young women about the political process. Girl State is a “learning by doing” program, which takes the girls through the entire political process. Girl State Citizens must be between their junior and senior year at school.

We are excited for Megan and congratulate her on this honor.
