Hometown Family Market Customer Appreciation Day well attended

Almost 500 pork sandwiches were served during the annual Hometown Family Market Customer Appreciation Day held in Gladbrook on September 19.

Owner Tandi Davis said, “We appreciate the support and tremendous turnout for the meal. That shows the spirit of “Small-town Strong“.”

The Tama County Pork Producers grilled the pork loins and the meal was topped off by ice cream cones sponsored by Stein Seeds.

And a delectable swirl of cotton candy was handed out by Owner Brody Davis and the Davis’ children, Brayla and Brayden. The weather was perfect and the crowd just kept coming.

With customer appreciation in mind Hometown Family market also serves “Free Ice Cream on Friday”.

The successful event was summed up by the logo on the back of the T-shirts worn by Hometown Family Market employees that reads: “You’re pretty awesome for supporting a small business. Thank you.”
