Gladbrook Corn Carnival activities and reminders

The Gladbrook Corn Carnival Kiddies Parade will be held on Thursday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. The six categories this year are: “Cornival” (theme of the 99th Corn Carnival); Comics, Cartoons & Movie; Patriotic, Bikes & Trikes, Advertising and Miscellaneous/Pets. Parade organizers encourage those interested to start thinking and planning for their parade entry as soon as possible.

Participants should be at the northwest corner of the city park by 6 p.m. on the night of the parade. Look for the sign post with your category’s name on it.

There you will register and fill out a form which includes your name, description of your entry, and parents’ and/or grandparents’ names. Each participant will be announced over the loud speaker and each entry will receive a prize.

This parade is always a fun event for children of all ages. For more information contact Terri Luehring, 473-3081, or Jeanne Paustian, 473-2843 or 473-2802.
