Gladbrook Auxiliary hosting Poppy Days, tea service in May

The Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary will be celebrating “Poppy Days” in Gladbrook on May 12th & 14th.

The symbol of our veterans are the poppies that grew over the battle fields of Europe during the wars.

The red poppies are made at the Iowa Veterans Home and distributed by Auxiliary Units and Juniors all across the nation. All donations from the poppies are given to our veterans and their families.

On Wed., May 12th the Jr. Auxiliary will go door to door in Gladbrook and Lincoln distributing poppies and collecting donations.

Auxiliary members will be distributing poppies on Main Street and Casey’s on Fr., May 14th.

Please give generously and help our veterans who gave it all for us.
