The T-55 FFA program has been busy during the spring semester. From April 18 through April 20 a group of 10 FFA students attended the 93rd Iowa FFA Leadership Conference in Des Moines.

While at the conference, students have opportunities to learn about a variety of agriculture industry careers, hear from industry speakers and compete in judged events.

The T-55 FFA group competed in a biotechnology event, taking eighth place overall. Team members included Haven Cross, Cayden Buskohl, Bell Rogers and Lindsey Fischer.

Additionally, Fischer placed eighth individually in the biotechnology competition.

The group will be holding their annual FFA Plant Sale fundraiser from May 6 to May 8.

Plants can be pre-ordered through Facebook or by emailing faculty advisor Hunter Hamilton at hunter.hamilton@gr-rebels.net.

Plants will also be available for purchase in-person on May 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School greenhouse.
