Snowmobilers meet for ride

The Central Iowa Snowmobilers met in Garwin on Feb. 20 for their annual Vintage Show & Ride event.Well over 100 people were in attendance, filling the Garwin city park with snowmobiles and the downtown streets with participants. Several vintage sleds were brought to show off over the lunch hour with a group ride that followed, traveling six miles south of town where the event ended with a bonfire. The snowmobile club boasts rougly 100 members and works to maintain over 150 miles of groomed snowmobile trails through Tama, Grundy, Marshall, Story and Hardin counties.
