It is with the utmost consideration for our communities in Reinbeck and the surrounding counties, that we have made the decision to transition to a completely “contactless” Miracle on Main. The Schedule of Events will not proceed as originally planned, as we have decided to eliminate any officially scheduled events that would encourage large groups to gather. Businesses and eating establishments may still remain open on November 13th and/or 14th, but not as official Miracle on Main open houses.

We are saddened to have to make this decision, but with COVID cases on the rise all around us, we feel this is the safest and most responsible course of action. As much as we want to celebrate the season as a community, we also want to take the best care of our community members as possible.

All hope is not lost, for we will still hold our Very Merry COVID Miracle on Main Lighting Contest! Homes and businesses will still be lighting up Friday evening and throughout the coming months – and you can vote for your favorite and give them a chance at winning a cash prize!

On Friday night, we’ll have a drive through Miracle on Main “station” where you can pick up a bag full of everything you need to tour the lights in town. Drive by the Memorial Building from 5:30-7:30 to pick up a bag with a map, voting ballot, special light viewing glasses, popcorn, candy, and a drink, and a craft bag for each child in the car. There will also be $10 Reinbeck bucks in some of the bags! SANTA will also be (socially distanced) and outside the Memorial Building waving at kiddos! Some of his friends – elves, dinosaurs, superheroes, unicorns(?) may be joining him on the street!

We have been so inspired by our community as we tried to plan this year’s Miracle on Main. The committee didn’t ask for donations this year, yet so many generously gave. Community members and businesses looked for ways to participate that worked for them and gave us their full support. We are so grateful for each of you and that even if we can’t physically gather, we can still celebrate the spirit of the season together – and hope and plan for something very special for Miracle on Main 2021.

Please plan to drive by the Memorial Building on Friday anytime between 5:30-7:30 for a Miracle on Main bag (ALL AGES WELCOME) and a ho, ho, hello from Santa & friends. Santa’s mailbox will still be available at Bill Davis Park for dropping off letters that will go straight to the Big Guy as well! We thank you, as always, for your understanding and support!
