Gladbrook Women’s Club meet in Oct.

The Gladbrook Women’s Club met October 8, at Spanky’s restaurant for their monthly meeting. The meeting started off with a very informative and interactive presentation from Keisha Lockhart on health and wellness. Members participated in various wellness exercises. The members enjoyed it and went away with good fitness ideas.

Following the program, president Marcy called the business meeting to order with sixteen members and one guest answering role call. The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given. Old business consisted of budget revisions, Women’s Club participation in trunk or treat, Corn Carnival cookbook, and an update on the new planters for Main Street which was initiated by the Women’s Club.

Information was shared on plans for the drive by Holiday Happenings event planned for Monday, November 16. Due to Covid, the traditional Holiday Happenings will take on a different look this year. So mark your calendars for a yummy Lasagna dinner on November 16.

New business included plans for Santa sacks for November 18, hospice cookie bakers, October birthdays and anniversaries, and information on the November meeting. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Hostesses Connie B., Karen H., B.J., and Pat C. treated the members to a delicious apple pie and cider drink lunch.
