Crop Walk continues in Gladbrook

The Gladbrook area Crop Walk Car Parade was  held on Oct. 11. Participants met at Peace Church, host church this year. Churches involved included Chapel United Methodist Church, Garwin United Methodist Church, Salem Church of Lincoln and Peace United Church of Christ. The vehicles including a 4-wheeler were decorated with signs and Crop Walk balloons.

Funds collected go to Church World Services. They help people in third world countries get water to their villages, provide seeds and helping to plant gardens and fields.

After the car parade around Gladbrook including Westbrook Acres and the Independent Living, hot chocolate and bars were served at Peace Church. Final total of donations collected are not in, but estimates are over, $1000.
