Accidents Two vehicle accident on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at 2:44 p.m. at D-67 (330th Street) and S-75 (B Avenue), approximately 6 miles west of Conrad. Driver #1: Richard Heckner, age 55, Marshalltown, driving 2009 Honda, $4,000 damage. Driver #2: Megan Wolken, age 47, Conrad driving 2015 Toyota, $1,000 damage. Wolken received minor injuries. #1 Heckner, was westbound on D-67. #2 Wolken, was southbound on S-75. #1 Heckner failed to yield to #2 Wolken and struck #2 Wolken on drivers side rear tire, disabling it. The accident remains under investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Offiice.

Arrests One person was arrested on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:17 p.m. on Hwy #20, approximately 4 miles east of Dike. Damarus Taylor, age 30, Waterloo, was arrested on the following charge: Driving While License Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor Taylor was released on bond Saturday morning. The arrest was made by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office. A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

June 3, 2019 t hru June 9, 2019 1. JASON REICKS, age 36, Dike. Arrested May 31, 2019 for a fight that happened in Dike on May 19, 2019. Charged with ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY and DISORDERLY CONDUCT. Released on a promise to appear. Also charged with DISORDERLY CONDUCT for the same incident are: JOEL KOPRIVA, age 30, Dike. ALEXANDER LYNCH, age 30, New Hartford. TRENT DIEKEN, age 38, Dike. They were also released on a promise to appear.
