In just two weeks, Reinbeck’s Main Street will be buzzing because on Friday, November 9, we will be celebrating our 20th annual Miracle on Main! That’s TWENTY YEARS of Miracles! All your favorite activities will be back again this year, and thanks to our generous donors, there will also be a few new surprises to enjoy during your evening in Reinbeck. In the spirit of “20 years,” here are twenty things you can do at (and before!) Miracle on Main 2018! 1. NEW! Participate in the “Believe in the Miracle” Scavenger Hunt in and around Main Street, starting on November 1st and going through the night of Miracle on Main. Pick up your scavenger hunt paper at Trunck’s or Wildflower and find the Miracle signs around town! Turn in your completed form for a chance to win $20 in Reinbeck bucks! 2. Come see SANTA! Santa will be visiting the Memorial Building Legion Room from 5:30-8pm. Don’t forget to bring your own camera for photos! 3. Are your ears longing for some sweet music? Stroll Main Street and listen for the sweet sounds of Ally & Kylie Jean performing for your enjoyment! 4. Sit for a spell and enjoy the sights and sounds with a horse-drawn trolley ride on and around Main Street! Board and disembark at Sweet’s Canopy. 5. NEW – BLAST FROM THE PAST! Ice sculpting ins BACK for this year’s Miracle! What cool creation will come from the block of ice? Make sure you’re there to see it! 6. Do you know the streets of Reinbeck like the back of your hand? We’ll see…get ready to follow the Facebook group picture clues and find great prizes in the second annual Miracle Drop – back again with 20, you heard right, 20 drops throughout the evening! 7. 5th-8th graders, show off your skills at the beanbag tournament at Cooley’s on Main Street! After that, head to the elementary school for a fun night and dance from 8-10pm. Proceeds from the dance will go to “Operation Warm Kid” – providing new and gently used winter gear to area children. 8. Make a stop at the Christmas tree walk at Lincoln Savings Bank, enjoy the Christmas music and stay for the annual Memory Tree presentation at 6pm. It’s a very meaningful time honoring special loved ones from the community. 9. You’ll surely need some warm soup to fill your belly for this night out on the town. Make a stop at the UCC for the soup supper sponsored by LSB! 10. NEW – JUST FOR OUR 20th YEAR! Purchase a Miracle on Main “20 Years of Miracles” commemorative ornament, suggested donation of $10. These ornaments will also be given as door prizes and drop prizes throughout the evening. The perfect memory and available for purchase NOW at LSB! 11. If you’re a kid, or maybe just a kid at heart, make sure to stop by Kid Central at the Memorial Building for crafts, carnival games, cookie decorating and a photo booth! Write letters to Santa or build with Legos. A great place to hang out while you wait to see Santa, too! 12. Play REINDEER GAMES on Main Street! Can you guess the square where our reindeer will “make their mark?” Always a hit, it’s back again this year! Purchase squares at Trunck’s starting November 1! 13. Stop up and down Main Street for our local businesses’ open houses! Prize drawings, food and drink specials and special deals can be found inside every door! Start your Christmas shopping early and shop local! 14. Stop by the Reinbeck Elementary at 6:30pm to see Bobbi’s Fancy Dancers performing! Always a fun show with many holiday songs and performances to enjoy. 15. BACK AGAIN WITH A TWIST – sELFies! Find the wandering elves and snap a sELFie to post to Miracle on Main’s Facebook page! $20 Reinbeck bucks for the winning sELFie…can you find each elf and snap a photo with them? 16. Mrs. Claus will be kicking off our evening with Childrens’ Story Time at the Fire Station at 5:00pm. Snuggle up and listen to some stories to kick off the evening! 17. Got Snapchat? Make sure you take some snaps during Miracle on Main using our exclusive Snapchat filter! 18. The ever-popular wine tastings are back again for the year! Sip your way through the evening and sample some of Iowa’s finest wines at our local businesses. 19.
