‘Twas ONE WEEK before Miracle and all through the town

All the people were stirring, awaiting fun sights and sounds.

The decorations were hung on Main Street with care,

Knowing Miracle on Main-goers soon would be there!

The kids in their Halloween costumes, and I in my Rebels cap,

Knew that in just 7 sleeps Miracle would be back!

Up and down Main Street there will be such a clatter

Whether I’m at one end or the other, it really won’t matter!

Away to the Memorial Building the kids fly like a flash

To see SANTA, in Kid Central at this holiday bash.

Parents don’t need to fret like there’s no place to go,

For you, there are open houses (with wine) or Reindeer Bingo!

More rapid than eagles the activities they came,

I’ll try to remember and call them by name.

Now Tree Walk, and Memory Tree, horse-drawn trolley rides,

Now vendor fair with treasures and trinkets inside.

Now Soup Supper and treats at the UCC

Now letters to Santa and music from Kylie Jean and Ally!

Now 5th grade through 8th grade, don’t think you’ve no chance,

For you there’s a beanbag tourney, fun night, and dance!

A bundle of activities for each one in your pack

You’ll find all evening long up Main Street and back!

And then in a twinkling I remembered in my mind

To bring my phone to Miracle for all the things I might find!

Princess Ana, Elsa, Santa and Mrs. Claus I’m sure to see,

I’ll use the NEW Miracle Snapchat filter for my sELFie!

Checking Facebook and Instagram on November 10 I won’t stop,

So I can FIND and WIN PRIZES in the Miracle Drop!

The Fashion Show and Bobbi’s Fancy Dancers will be back again,

And a chance to give back in the Grundy County Christmas store bin.

Kids will take one look at Kid Central and go straight to their fun.

While waiting for Santa, crafts and cookie decorating can be done!

Come dressed for the weather from your head to your foot,

You’ll surely return with some Christmastime loot!

The fun for all ages and schedules I’ve read

Left me to know I have nothing to dread.

So spring to your door – give friends and family a whistle,

And fly over to Reinbeck like you’ve been poked by a thistle!

November the 10th is so close in our sights…
