The Blackhawk Nighthawks’ first meeting of the season was held on Sunday, September 10th at the Reinbeck elementary library. Kinzee Hemann led the Pledge of Allegiance and Emma Fleshner gave the treasurer’s report from the end of the previous 4-H year. The club members then elected our club officers and got ready for the upcoming 4-H season. The previous year’s officers ran the meeting until new officers were elected. Then, all of the club members voted on each position, and the new season’s officers were appointed.

The new officers include: President Sadie Brockett, Vice President Karly Wilhau, Secretary Taylor Frischmeyer, Treasurer Emma Fleshner and Reporter Kaylee Young. For the meeting, our monthly roll call question was, “What is your favorite 4-H memory.” Members’ fair projects will be on display at the Reinbeck Public library for the month of October.

Our next monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, October 8th at Hansen’s Dairy Farm. While we are at the dairy farm, we will receive a tour of the farm. Following the tour, we will hold our meeting.
