This past Saturday, Sept. 12th, GMG Volleyball girls dominated in the tournament that GMG hosted. The volleyball girls that played that day were Avery Smith (Jr.), Madison Larson (Jr.), Chandler Kendall (Jr.), Katie Airey (Jr.), Josie Claassen (Jr.), Blaire Sonderleiter (Jr.), Taija Williams (Jr.), Mckensie Vaske (Soph.), Kaela Gruen (Soph.), and Kelsey Vaverka (Fr.). To start off Saturday the Wolverines played 2 matches with Waterloo Christian. The first match they scored a nice 25-22. The second match that they played they scored a nice 28-26 game. The next game they played they played 3 matches against HLV. The first match HLV came out on top with the score of 19-25. The second match the ladies played the Wolverines came out on stop with the score of 25-23, and for the third match they won with a beautiful score of 15-7. They played Waterloo again and came out on top for both matches! First match they won a solid 25-21. The second match they won to a digging 26-24 score. They played HLV for the championships with 3 matches. The first match the won with a beautiful score of 25-13. The second match HLV dominated with a 25-19 score. Finally the last game of Saturday the Wolverines scored a 15-11 to win the GMG Tournament! Great Job ladies keep up the good work!
