The Rebels played their second game in two days as they hosted the Mustangs of East Marshall on January 23, 2015, in Gladbrook. Following an annual tradition of the boys that are in chorus and their coach singing the National Anthem prior to the eight grade game it was time to take the court. Starting the game it was a goal to get as much playing time for all nine players while still trying to maintain a level of competing. Switching positions on offense and continuing to apply defense, the Rebels jumped out to an early lead and held a 27-18 advantage at half-time. With twelve minutes left to play on our home court for the season, it was important to play well. Every player fulfilled our goal for the game as we shot the ball with confidence, played hounding defense and most importantly enjoyed supporting each other. When the horn sounded the Rebels were on top with a 55-25 victory.
