G-R Volleyball-Gladbrook-Reinbeck 3, East Marshall 1

REINBECK – The East Marshall volleyball squad lost a four-game match to Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Tuesday as the Rebels won 25-17, 25-21, 20-25, 25-14. Britney Keller led the Rebels (4-5, 1-2) with 17 kills while Ellie Stoakes had 10 and Shelton Hatch eight. Jenny Schildroth totaled 22 assists, Erin Wentzien led with 17 digs, and G-R served a combined 88-for-94 with 10 aces. Hatch was 21-for-21 with four aces to lead the way. Claire Johnson led the Mustangs (1-8, 0-3) with 20 digs and 10 kills, while Katie Roseland added a team-high 25 digs, five kills and four blocks. Haley Long was 11-for-11 in serves and finished with 15 digs and 14 assists, and Madisen Hinegardner contributed 24 digs. Callie Roseland delivered 14 assists, while Ashley Allen and Sam Earley each scored five kills. Johnson ended up 12-for-12 in serves with one ace, Earley was 13-for-14 with an ace and Allen was 8-for-8. East Marshall returns to Reinbeck this weekend when it takes part in the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Tournament, which begins at 9 a.m.
