Coach Mike Spurlin and his team of GMG golfers took a trip up north to Waterloo, on Monday, April 2nd to golf on the Irv Warren Golf Course. For GMG, we had 8 boy golfers. Sophomore Chad Plaehn rounded up with the top score of 43 for GMG. Chris Read landed second with a score of 45, Austin Vaughn 3rd, Kennan Hall rounded 4th, followed by Luke Petty, Dillon Slingluff, Bridger Claassen and Ryan Spurlin. The medalist was Senior Lucas Segerstrum of Waterloo Christian, with a 39. Grant Weiden also of WCA landed runner up with a 42. In the girls division, congratulations to Siera Richter of GMG, who earned the runner up medal with a score of 55. Other GMG ladies played well also. Following Siera was Shannon Flemming with 71, followed by Lexie Dubberkie and Cheyanne Wurr. We are proud of both teams for this early round of competition.
