Area students graduate from Allen College
WATERLOO, Iowa The College awarded 129 degrees at its commencement ceremony on Friday, May 5 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Allen College conferred 15 Associate of Science in Radiography degrees, seven Bachelor of Health Sciences degrees, 69 Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, 36 Master of Science of Nursing degrees and two Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees..
The speaker for Allen College’s spring commencement was Dee Vandeventer. As a founding partner and past president of ME&V, an integrated marketing communications and fundraising company, Dee has worked with hundreds of nonprofits throughout the country. In 2015, she moved from consultant into practitioner, serving as the chief development officer for the Allen Foundation. Dee earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in communications/public relations from the University of Northern Iowa and her public relations and fundraising career spans more than three decades.
