GMG Secondary Winter Concert by Oliver Spellman This year the GMG Winter Concert will be held on Thursday, December 10th. It will begin at 7:00pm. The junior and senior high vocal music department lead by Mrs. Sheryl Mullikin will be performing, as well as, the junior and senior high instrumental department lead by Mr. Dan Lastovka. Both departments have been practicing really hard. The music will be filled with holiday spirit, and there will be a spectacular light show during the festivities. We would love to see you there. Please come to support our school. It will be an evening of musical talent!


GMG Boys To Wrestle by Dakota Weishaubt This years wrestling season at EM should be an exciting one. We have 3 boys from GMG wrestling for EM. They are Dakota Weishaubt, Bryce Anderson, and Tre Jimenez. The younger boy who is going out is Connor Murty; he is a 7th grader. We will be looking forward to seeing them wrestle in Wellsfargo at State. Let’s wrestle!


GMG Teacher In-Service By Klayton Hartwell On December 7, GMG will be having their teacher in-service. The students will not have school. The staff will be working on Core curriculum and other educational material. It will be a very busy day for the teachers. Students will have another day to relax during their long weekend.


Thankful for What? by Jacy Chaplin Well, today I talked to my peers about what they were thankful for, since Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Oliver Spillman told me he was thankful for the food on the table, so did Bryce Bartel. Connor Stonewall, Kaitlyn Gill, Mrs. Upah, AlexaPeters, and Chandler Kendakk are thankful for family. Dakota Weishaubt is thankful for Chandler (he and Chandler are dating). Korey is thankful that Jacy is ok after is car accident. Mallory Fisher is thankful for horses. Whatever you are thankful for, please have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!


GMG Secondary PT Conferences by Stone Schossow Do you wonder how your child or children are doing in school? You can find out on Wednesday Dec. 2nd. The conferences will be held at the high school in the lunch room and the lower hallway from 4-8 PM. Go check it out! Hope to see you all there!


Fruit Sales Parker Welton The GMG junior class is selling fruit and other items of food for their prom in April. The money will go toward decorations, food, and photography. They will be selling fruit until December 2nd. They are selling meat, cheese, candies, and fruits. They must sell 10 items in order to attend prom this year. So, if you are looking for some great fruit or other items, check with a GMG junior!


Results of the Girls’ Basketball Game By Chandler Kendall The GMG Wolverines were victorious in their basketball game against the BCLUW Comets. Though the game was postponed until Saturday, November 21, due to weather, the GMG girls brought their A-game and defeated the Comets for the first time in at least 5 years. The score was 46-42. BCLUW was ahead until the fourth quarter, when Katie Airey shot a three for the lead. Further stats are unavailable at this time. In conclusion, this proves that the GMG Wolverines are predicted to have a very victorious and amazing year. Congratulations to the girls, and let’s all wish them a great season.


Thanksgiving Break At GMG Bryce Bartel The students at GMG will be on Thanksgiving break Starting Tuesday at 2:20 PM, on November 24, 2015. They will not have school until the following Tuesday, December 1, 2015. The students will get to enjoy having a nice break. The teachers will not be at the school on Monday either, because it is a teacher’s comp day. We hope the students have a great Thanksgiving break!


GMG Basketball Cheerleading By: Kaitlyn Gill Basketball season is finally upon us! The long 4 moths will be over before we know it. The Vasity cheerleaders are Kaitlyn Gill (Jr.), Madi Larson (Jr.), Natalie Smith (Jr.), Alexa Almanza (Soph.), KaeLynne Meling (Soph.), and Kyla Krier (Fr.), and Isaiah Zelstorf (Sr.). The girls and Isaiah have been working really hard this season to keep the crowd on their feet and keeping the basketball players pumped. So, if you find yourself bored on a Tuesday or a Friday evenings come support your GMG Wolverines and your cheerleaders! Boys Basketball By: Conner Stonewall The GMG Boys Basketball team starts their season this Saturday, November 28. This is a scrimmage against North Mahaska, at North Mahaska. The first game, though, is against Colo Nesco at Colo. This game is December 1, 2015. I hope to see all of you there supporting the Wolverines.
