The Reinbeck Art Festival, an annual art festival in Reinbeck (September 26, 2015) has established a scholarship for a Gladbrook-Reinbeck high school senior who is furthering their education in the arts at the college level. To raise money for the scholarship, the community painting completed at the 2014 Reinbeck Art Festival, “Irises,” a reproduction of Van Gogh’s work, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. It is a silent auction with a sign up sheet. The winning bid will be combined with donations that were taken during the festival. The painting and sign up sheet will be at Lincoln Savings Bank in Reinbeck until November 11. After that, you can see the painting and make a bid at Reinbeck City Hall, where it will be displayed before and during Miracle on Main event on November 14th and until December 5th. If you would like to donate to the scholarship without bidding, please contact Dana at Reinbeck City Hall. Bids will continue to be accepted until 4:30 PM on Dec. 5th. Information about applying for the scholarship will be announced at a later date.
