From October 20th to October 24th, Gladbrook-Reinbeck Schools and Wapsie Valley Schools participated in a donation contest sponsored by Goodwill Industries.

A semi-truck trailer was placed in front of each high school and given five days to fill it. The school with the most weight at the final weigh-in would win a $100 scholarship. Weigh-in announcements revealed that Gladbrook-Reinbeck won with 6909 pounds and Wapsie Valley with 2108 pounds.
