Seth Gretillat, an 8th grader at Gladbrook-Reinbeck Middle School, competed on March 1 in the Scripps Spelling Bee on the Iowa State Campus. To be our school representative, Seth defeated 20 other students in a spell-off. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, Seth was there and ready. He went out on the word “miso.” The bee lasted 51 rounds before the state champion was crowned.

We are so proud of Seth for taking on this challenge and would like to thank the Gladbrook PTO for their continued financial support in making this opportunity available to our students.
