1. One vehicle accident January 7, 2020, 3:09 PM on Hwy 20 at the 220 mile marker. Driver: DAQUANDEZ WISE, age 28, Waterloo. Driving 2005 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $7500. Vehicle was eastbound when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle began to swerve and dropped off on the shoulder twice. The second time the driver lost control, entered the median where it travelled several feet, dug into the ground and began to roll. The vehicle rolled several times and came to rest on its wheels. WISE was issued a citation for FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF INSURANCE.

2. One vehicle accident January 14, 2020, 11:51 PM on Hwy 20 at the 218 mile marker. Driver: MICHAEL ALLEN, age 19, Waterloo. Driving 2005 Pontiac. Estimated damage $4000. Vehicle was westbound when the vehicle dropped off onto the shoulder. The driver over corrected and drove into the ditch. The driver was able to drive out of the ditch but the vehicle sustained damage. No summons, no injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

3. One vehicle accident January 17, 2020, 8:00 PM on Hwy 14 south of 120th Street. Driver: KADEDRICK HOOD, age 25, Parkersburg. Driving 2004 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $7000. Vehicle was northbound when it lost traction due to icy conditions. Vehicle fishtailed, spun sideways, went into the west ditch where it rolled and came to rest on its top.

4. One vehicle accident January 18, 2020, 3:28 PM on Hwy 20 at the 187 mile marker. Driver: KAELYN AMBROSE, age 19, New Hampton. Driving 2011 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $5000. Vehicle was westbound when the driver lost control on the icy roads and struck the bridge side rail. The vehicle came to rest on the roadway. No summons, no injury. 5. One vehicle accident January 18, 2020, 6:35 PM on Hwy 20 at Hwy 14. Driver: CHRISTOPHER PALACIOS, age 23, Wauconda, IL. Driving 2007 Toyota. Estimated damage $6000. Vehicle was westbound when the driver lost control on the ice and hit the bridge of Hwy 20 over Hwy 14. No summons, no injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

6. One vehicle accident January 19, 2020, 7:39 AM on Hwy 20 at the 188 mile marker. Driver: TAYLOR CRIST, age 23, Des Moines. Driving 2007 Dodge. Estimated damage $6000. Vehicle was westbound when the driver lost control, entered the median where it rolled and came to rest on its wheels. No summons, no injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

7. CARLOS RUIZ, age 53, Belmond. Arrested January 25, 2020, 9:55 AM on Hwy 20 at the 216 mile marker. Charged with DRIVING WHILE LICENSE BARRED. Released on a promise to appear. Arrested by IOWA STATE PATROL.

8. CODY HINKLE, age 30, Marshalltown. Arrested January 25, 2020, 10:22 PM in Conrad. Charged with OWI 1st. Posted bond and released. Arrested by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
