The Gladbrook Auxiliary held their winter sewing days preparing carpet materials for the IVH rug looms. Over fifteen Auxiliary and Legion members came on Tuesday/Wednesday, Feb 4 and 5 to sew, snip and roll over 30 large balls. Those participating all or part of the time were: Candice Bartel, Loran and Jane Frericks, Katy Chizek, Kathy Herink, Joyce Swangel, Sharon Shouse, Katy Grimmius, Dick and Jolene Denbow, Marilyn Carstensen Ann Vibbard, Kathy Anderson, Chris Hickman, Cathy and Dennis Barnes. Frustration of twisted material, bobbins running out of thread and do-overs, was fixed with good food, good conversations and seeing many new faces to help make for a couple of fun days.
