Rhonda R. Deters, Grundy County Auditor, announces that the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office has a new mobile application to remind voters of upcoming elections and other election information. For many people, the phone has become an essential tool for professional and personal activities, including checking sports scores, looking at a weather forecast, checking the time, reading a text, and maybe even making a phone call.

The Secretary of State’s vision is to use the new mobile reality to increase voter engagement using the technology we simply hold in our hands. You can register to vote and find your polling location. The real advantage is the ability to opt-in for text or email messages that remind voters about upcoming special and regular elections and their corresponding deadlines.
