GRUNDY COUNTY- Exhibitors are needed for the 2016 Open Class (non-livestock) at the Grundy County Fair to be held the week of July 19-24, 2016. Residence in Grundy County is not required. It is open to everyone. Approximately 76 exhibitors participated in 2015 with nearly 340 exhibits. Our classes include foods, woodworking, quilts, fine arts, textiles, clothing, photography and horticulture. Entries in textiles, clothing, and fine arts may be original or from kit or pattern. Each exhibit is judged on its own merit regardless of number of entries in the class. Each exhibit receives a ribbon. Exhibitor doesn’t need to be present for judging. Entries will be assigned a numerical number this year. Exhibits must have entry forms and tags completed by the exhibitor. Entry forms and instructions are available at the Grundy County Extension Office for a small fee. For your planning purposes, entries may be brought to the Open Class Building, Grundy County Fairgrounds, on Monday, July 18 from 3:30 till 7:30 p.m. or Tuesday July 19 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Judging begins at 10:00 a.m. Exhibitors need not be present for judging. Release time is Sunday, July 24 from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m.

If you have never participated stop by the Open Class Building and get acquainted. The building is staffed from 9:00 am to 8:00 p.m. each day of the fair.
