The 2016 Grundy Center Farmers Market Advisory Committee is excited to announce some exciting entertainment and wonderful vendors for the 2016 Grundy Center Farmers Market!

The Grundy Center Farmers Market will remain Thursday evenings with a slightly extended time period of 4:30 7:00 p.m. and will run from May 19, 2016 through September 29, 2016. All markets will be held on the courthouse square, with the exception of July 21st, which will be at the Grundy County Fairgrounds during the County Fair.

The Farmers Market opened last week, May 19th with vendors bringing fresh rhubarb, herbs, greens, baked goods, crafts, headbands, tomato plants and more!

Thursday, May 26th the Farmers Market will feature Celebrity Chef, Julie Grunklee. Join Julie for a night of free samples and recipes. We will be preparing samples of foods available in-season at the market and providing recipe cards so that you can purchase the produce and go home to make the full recipe yourself! This will be an invaluable opportunity to learn to cook with the things you or others are growing fresh in the garden.

Thursday, June 2nd join us at the Farmers Market with J & E Locker to grill out. Come on out to support our own local locker as they grill samples of their meats and show you some new ways to prepare a meal using healthy, fresh, produce and meats!
