Volunteer event to plant trees in Eldora
Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and partners are seeking volunteers to help plant over 2,000 trees on Wednesday, May 11, at Pine Lake State Park. South Hardin High school students will plant at Gunderson Nature Park in the morning, volunteers are sought to assist at the State Park from 2 to 5 p.m.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the Pine Lake State Park Office at 22620 County Highway S56 in Eldora, IA. This park is home to 250-year-old white pines and rare ferns along the Iowa River. Take in the scenic beauty while planting trees that will help preserve the park for future generations.
