The 2016 Grundy Center Farmers Market Advisory Committee is excited to begin accepting applications for the 2016 Grundy Center Farmers Market season!

The Grundy Center Farmers Market will remain Thursday evenings with a slightly extended time period of 4:30 7:00 p.m. and will run from May 19, 2016 through September 29, 2016. All markets will be held on the courthouse square, with the exception of July 21st, which will be at the Grundy County Fairgrounds during the County Fair.

The newly formed Farmers Market Advisory Committee is excited about adding several new educational and entertainment pieces to the market this summer to grow both vendors and buyers and hope that you will grow with us! One of the key things we will be trying this year is a “Market & More”. Two Thursdays of the season, July 7th and July 21st (Felix Grundy Days and Grundy County Fair) we invite ALL potential vendors to join the Farmers Market. This could include home based business vendors (examples- Avon, Mary Kay, antiques) and non-local producers.

The mailing address for the Farmers Market will be to the Main Street Grundy Office at PO Box 204, Grundy Center, IA 50638. Publicity will come out of the Grundy County Extension & Outreach office at 703 F Avenue, Suite 1, Grundy Center. If there are suggestions you may have on ways to improve the market, we welcome hearing those.
