The Iowa Artists’ Region 7 Show was held Saturday, April 2, at the Denver Public Library. There were 35 artists displaying 90 pieces of original art; including paintings, graphite, ink, stained glass, paper cutting, paper quilling and sculpture. The show was judged by Cedar Falls artist Ray Frederick. There were 10 blue ribbon winners, who will qualify for the Iowa Artists’ State Show May 14 in Fairfield. They are, front row: Nancy Barsic of Hudson; Helen Logan and Marion Wiley, both of Cedar Falls; and Joan Kerns of Waterloo. Standing are Ginny Poppen of Reinbeck; Kirk Hovenga of Dumont; Marion Boyer of Reinbeck; and Steve Russell of Independence. Not pictured is Bonnie Smith of Cedar Falls.
